Visit to AyurBay

It is fun time again for the  Madhurima family. As is the yearly schedule ,this year also we had our picnic  on May 10,  2008 at the AyurBay Resort, Nellikunnu Beach, south of Kovalam. The exams are over, children have said goodbye to their books for the time being and parents also are in a mood to indulge in merrymaking. So here we go to Ayurbay  to spend a night in dance , music and fun games. About 14 families of madhurima could make it for this getaway. The sea was soothing as well as thrilling and our members were enhralled by the setting and  the sheer beauty of the place. Photos below show the scenic beauty of the place and some of our activities .

Just after we reached.  it's around 5pm and here we see our youngsters exploring the place. .

The marvelous shot of the sun set viewed from Ayurbay.. The sea is a little rough but this didn't dampen our enthusiasm even a bit. We had a whole lot of programes chalked out for the evening.

The ladies enjoying the sunset and little Nandana posing for the photograph. The baywatch area of Ayurbay was an ideal point to laze around..

The kids dancing in abandon to a popular hindi tune. Here you can see Unnikrishnan,Charu, Vivek and Gopika.

It's again the children in limelight.  This time it's a Malayalam group song. Little Vinaya and Goutham have also joined in.

An attentive and appreciating audience can boost up the performer's spirits and this audience does exactly the same to our young and old performers alike.

It's next day morning.  A calmer sea welcomed us.  The more daring went to take a dip in the sea and the rest of us enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place. This lovely photo has captured the essence of that beautiful morning.

Here, Sri. Perumpuzha is seen discussing with an old member, Sri. Viswanathan (second from left) who had come for this get together from Hyderabad with his wife Sheela. Others in the photo are Sri. Rajan and  Jayan.

The baywatch area seems to be the favourite area of the ladies. Some of them enjoying the morning sun.

The technical team setting the audio system for the day's programs.

"Passing the parcel" - It' s Gopika's turn to act out as a model doing the Ramp walk as punishment of being thrown out of the game.

The game of "passing the parcel" in progress. M. N. Pradeepkumar passes on the parcel to Charu and the rest of the participants waiting eagerly to witness the exit of the next person from the game.

And now it's Mr. Jayachandran  Nair, who is reborn as the late cine star Jayan and the audience watches in amusement. In addition to games and fun, there was good music too. Here, is one number sung by Sarang (but can you guess the song from the lyrics until it gets over!).

Sri Perumpuzha speaks a few words to the members with his wife Smt. C.K. Lilly in the backdrop.

Sri. Viswom and Smt. Sheela who now live in Hyderabad on jobtransfer. They were on a visit to Trivandrum and joind us for the trip.  The members were delighted to have them in their midst, after a longtime.
